Cincinnatus

A Roman senator who was called from his farm where he was plowing to lead an army to war and given tremendous power.

He left his plow in his field, donned his senatorial robes and led the army to victory.

When the battle was finished he went back home, relinquished the powers bestowed upon him, and picked back up his farm work.

It is said he was an inspiration for George Washington and was part of the reason Washington was adamant about not being in power.
